Amy Winehouse was reportedly taken by ambulance to the hospital from her home tonight. Boy didn’t see that one coming (sarcasm)! Was it the drugs, emphysema or both? The 24-year-old was taken to the accident and emergency department at nearby University College Hospital.

Paramedics were called by father Mitch after Amy reportedly suffered an episode of ‘fitting’. Her spokesperson said the singer had ’suffered a reaction to medication’.

In June, Winehouse was given the stark warning by doctors to ‘quit drugs or die.’ Apparently she has chosen the later.

This new drama follows another erratic weekend for the star, who was seen punching a shop’s metal security blind after a wild night out which included water fights in the street.
